Proposing a Just-in-Time Session
If you want to propose a session about something that happened (in your field, in higher education, or in the world) after 1 April, we encourage you to propose a just-in-time session. Proposal forms for just-in-time sessions must be submitted by 24 September. Completed proposals will be reviewed by the Program Committee at its meeting in October. Organizers will be informed of the committee’s decision soon after the meeting. Accepted sessions will appear in the online program.
How to Propose a Just-in-Time Session
- Submit the completed just-in-time proposal form by 24 September.
- The proposal must include a complete session with confirmed participants. An individual presentation or a proposal without confirmed participants is not a complete session.
- The organizer and all participants must be MLA members by 24 September.
- The organizer and all participants must register for the convention.
- Participants may not already appear on the program more than once.
- No more than two participants (including the session presider and respondent) may be from the same institution unless the institution itself is a key aspect of the session.
- The proposal form requirements for a just-in-time session are similar to those of a special session.
